HAZOP is a risk assessment involving multi disciplines. Allows you to evaluate process changes with the analysis of all control measures.
The team includes the following experts: process engineers, C&A, TSE engineers, operations representatives, mechanics and other disciplines as required
The methodology is based on determining deviations from the main process parameters, their consequences for personnel, environment and assets, as well as ranking the risk taking into account existing control measures.
As conclusions of the risk assessment, a list of recommendations is compiled for scenarios that require additional reduction of the risk level. Recommendations must be followed.
As part of the preparatory work, the chairman prepares all documentation, develops ToR, splits the process into nods and makes the necessary mark-ups.
HAZOP is carried out both for minor process changes and as a tool to confirm the safety of operations as a whole with a typical frequency of once every 5 years
